Welcome to Sambucus, one of the standout treehouses on the TreeDwellers retreat near Chipping Norton. Climb the 16 steps to enter your own treetop haven—where modern design meets woodland calm.
Inside, the open-plan space lets light dance through from both ends, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors framing views of the trees beyond. The living area centres on a wood burner, creating a warm, intimate atmosphere no matter the season. The kitchen is practical and elegant—you’ll find what you need to cook or sip a slow evening drink.
There are two king-size bedrooms (each 5 ft) that strike a balance between comfort and simplicity, and two shower rooms ensure ease for four guests. Underfloor heating keeps things cosy, and you’ll find Wi-Fi, linens, towels, and electricity all sorted. Initial logs for the burner are included when you arrive.
Step outside to your private deck where birdsong lulls you forward each morning. Beyond that is shared woodland with a firepit and quiet gathering space. Your allocated parking spot is nearby (about 315 metres), and there’s an EV charging point on site.
Please note: children under 8 are not permitted. No pets are accepted, and smoking isn’t allowed within the property.
Sambucus blends playful architecture with grounded pleasures: wood fires, light-filled corners, birdcalls and quiet paths. It’s a place to slow your pace, breathe more deeply and let the treetops become part of your stay.
