Artisan Lodge

Welcome to Artisan Lodge, a single-storey retreat set in the heart of the Ribble Valley, near the scenic Forest of Bowland. Designed with comfort in mind, this lodge is ideal for families and friends. The lodge has three beautifully furnished bedrooms, including a super-king room with an en-suite and patio doors that open onto tranquil countryside views – just right for a quiet morning coffee. The other two king-size rooms offer leafy views and ample storage for longer stays, while the main bathroom features a bath with overhead shower for a relaxing soak after a day outdoors.

The open-plan living area is perfect for both relaxation and socialising, with its cosy woodburning stove, Smart TV, and inviting seating area. The kitchen is well-equipped for making delicious meals, best enjoyed around the dining table, or if you prefer, outdoors on the decking with views over the garden. And, with a handy utility room and washing machine, extended stays are made even easier.

Outside, you'll find a lovely non-enclosed garden with a lawn, decking, and comfy patio furniture – ideal for al fresco dining, enjoying a glass of wine at sunset, or simply taking in the fresh country air. Off-road parking is available for two cars, and your furry friends are welcome (up to two well-behaved dogs), though as it’s on a working farm, dogs must be kept on a lead in all outside areas. There’s also a friendly pub just a short stroll away (0.4 miles) and a local shop nearby (0.5 miles).

Artisan Lodge is perfectly placed to enjoy all the Ribble Valley has to offer. The nearby Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a paradise for walkers and cyclists alike, with its rolling hills, woodland trails, and picture-perfect villages. Just a short drive away, Clitheroe Castle offers panoramic views, fascinating history, and charming museum exhibits.

For a taste of local heritage, head to Samlesbury Hall, a beautifully preserved medieval manor with centuries of history to uncover. Nearby Ribchester is also home to Roman ruins and a fascinating museum that tells the story of its ancient past.

If you’re up for a day trip, Artisan Lodge’s location offers easy access to the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. Both national parks are within driving distance and boast stunning landscapes, perfect for a scenic hike or leisurely picnic. The area also hosts several local markets, artisan shops, and cosy tearooms to discover, making each day an adventure in itself.
