Shepherds Cottage

Shepherds Cottage is definitely a quiet cosy romantic spot for a break, just a 10-minute walk to village of Middleton-in-Teesdale. You have some superb countryside to explore all around with the North Pennines and the beautiful Tees Valley, walk along the river and take in the views of High and Low Force waterfalls, spectacular. In the area you have the market town of Barnard Castle, full of cobbled streets, the local village has quite a few shops and cafes, Raby Castle with its deer park and more. The lodge also has a nice patio area with a picnic bench, BBQ and inside there is a romantic woodburning stove.
