Our family began letting out our much-loved holiday home in 2017, and we’re delighted to share it with guests. This comfortable and homely lodge is situated on the beautiful Parkdean Resort at St Minver, just a short distance from Rock in Cornwall.
The lodge accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms. The master bedroom features a double bed, generous wardrobe space, and a private en suite with a shower and toilet. The two additional bedrooms each have twin beds and ample storage, with one offering direct access to the family bathroom.
Inside, the lodge is fully equipped for a relaxing stay, with double glazing and central heating throughout, plus a cosy flame-effect fire in the living area. The modern kitchen includes an oven, a large built-in fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a washer-dryer, and plenty of cupboard space. The family bathroom includes a bath with an overhead shower.
Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious and secure decked area with outdoor seating—perfect for dining or unwinding. There is also convenient parking and surrounding grassed areas. The lodge is also dog-friendly, so your four-legged companions are very welcome to join you on your stay.
Bed linen, towels (excluding beach and pool towels), and other essentials are included. Bookings are typically Saturday to Saturday, though short breaks may be available during quieter periods. Special offers may also be available from time to time. Please note that use of on-site leisure facilities is subject to an additional weekly charge.
St Minver Holiday Park is set within attractive private grounds and offers a wide range of facilities, including a indoor swimming pool, sauna, indoor and outdoor seating areas, and full changing facilities. On-site amenities also include a shop, laundry, children’s play area, crazy golf, and the Old Manor Clubhouse, which features WiFi, a restaurant, bar, takeaway service, amusement arcade, and regular entertainment for both children and adults. (Please note that some facilities are seasonal—enquire for details.)
The park is ideally located just two miles from Rock, on the Camel Estuary, home to stunning beaches such as Daymer Bay, Rock, and Polzeath—well known for surfing. All beaches offer parking, and Polzeath also provides surf lessons and equipment hire.
Nearby, the villages of Rock, St Minver, and Pityme offer a selection of welcoming pubs. Along the road to Rock, you’ll find a variety of local shops including delis, a grocery store, fish and chip shop, butcher, fishmonger, and bakery. Rock itself boasts several excellent cafés and restaurants.
From Rock, you can take the short ferry ride to Padstow, a charming fishing port famous for its restaurants, including those of chef Rick Stein. Other nearby destinations worth exploring include Port Isaac (featured in Doc Martin), Port Quin, Tintagel, and Boscastle. The Eden Project is just a 40-minute drive away, and the towns of Truro, Bodmin, and St Ives are all within easy reach.
For those who enjoy walking and cycling, the area offers breathtaking coastal paths and scenic routes. Wadebridge, the nearest town, provides supermarkets, a wide range of shops, and access to the popular Camel Trail—a fantastic route for walking or cycling, with bike hire available for all ages (even dogs!).
