Exit the A1 at junction 52. Travelling northbound, take the first exit at the roundabout. Travelling southbound, take the third exit at the roundabout and go straight across the next roundabout. After 1/2 mile and turn right signposted Brompton on Swale and Catterick Racecourse. The road which bears left over the bridge, with the racecourse on your right. Take the next left into Brompton on Swale. Continue through the village towards Richmond, and you will see Brompton Lakes on the left.
